A twisted mix of fantasy, survival, and horror...

Work on Shattered began in April of 2014 shortly after Envisioned Games founder Devin Eastmond was introduced to Mark Hadley's Slender: The Eight Pages. What caught Devin's eye was the fact that the game was made by the Unity game engine, the same engine that Devin was familiarizing himself with at the time. As he was still fairly new to the concept of game development and realized his skills were limited, he knew that a horror game similar to Slender: The Eight Pages would be a type of game simple enough for him create.

When the development of Shattered was started, Devin initially predicted that the game would be completed in merely a few months. However, he found this not to be the case when he was still working on the game more than three years after it was started! This happened for a number of reasons. First, his personal life soon became increasingly busy as he was spending most of his time on school, work, religion, and other endeavors. Second, as he continued to build the game, more ideas began to flood his head, causing the game to become bigger and bigger. And finally, in the words of Devin himself, "I did not realize how much work went into making a video game! Every little detail has to be meticulously designed. In a movie, all events that occur always follow the exact same script every time it is displayed. On the contrary, a video game designer must consider every possible outcome that could unfold. Each player will approach the game differently than the other, and the game must be suitable for all of them!"

Shattered is currently in the final stages of development. Devin is working on fixing all the bugs that he can find, even the bugs that were created by fixing other bugs! He couldn't be more excited to see this game published some day in the near future.

"Fair warning to all who play Shattered," Devin states. "This game is FREAKY! Even though I am the creator of it, even though I know all of its secrets, it still freaks me out of my mind! No pressure to play it if you don't do well with these types of games. But if you're looking for a real good scare, or are even looking to scare your friends, this game is the game for you!"

As is the policy of all video games produced by Envisioned Games, any content that is vulgar, sexual, excessively violent or in any other way suggestive is strictly avoided in Shattered.
